The earliest recorded date for use of these stamps is 7th July 1884, and just 3,285 were printed between December 1890 and November 1935 (when they were superceeded by the Arms Type design)

 

Occasionally values under £1000 were printed, and a total of 22 have been recorded – all before 1916.
